"I got the idea to write these books after my first pit bull opened my eyes to the unfortunate misconceptions many people have about these wonderful animals. I wanted to write positive stories with happy endings which were geared toward teaching children at an early age that everyone deserves a compassionate second chance in life. I hope to turn A Pitbull Named Joey into a series of books addressing topics like bullying, pitbull awareness, education, and advocacy. I would love to take Joey on road trips to meet people as a great breed ambassador."
